The Aurora Cape is a free Java and Bedrock cosmetic tied to the Minecraft Dungeons II promotion. You earn a code by completing a short watch-time quest on Twitch or TikTok, then redeem it on the official Minecraft site. This page is a redeem / Cape how-to — it is not the daily Minecraftle answer.

Key dates

  • Watch-time window: September 29, 2026, 07:00 UTC through October 15, 2026, 06:59 UTC (announced as Sept 29 12:00 a.m. PT – Oct 14 11:59 p.m. PT).
  • Code expiry: codes are expected to stop working around October 31, 2026. Redeem early if you already have one.
  • Editions: works on Java and Bedrock when claimed to the Microsoft account linked to that profile.

If you are reading this after the watch window closes, you can still redeem a code you already received until the October 31 cut-off. New codes are not issued after the quest ends.

How to get an Aurora Cape code

Twitch (about 15 minutes)

  1. Log in to Twitch with an account that has Drops enabled.
  2. Open a livestream in the Minecraft Dungeons II category that shows the drops / rewards tag (not a random Minecraft survival stream).
  3. Watch for about 15 minutes until the WatchTime quest completes.
  4. Claim the drop and copy the 5×5 redeem code from your Twitch inventory / Drops page.

Note: early in the promotion, Twitch reportedly ran out of codes and some inventory showed the drop without a usable code. If your drop has no code, try TikTok Rewards or wait for Mojang / Twitch restocks — do not buy codes from third parties.

TikTok (about 3 minutes)

  1. Use TikTok in a region where Game Rewards are available, and link / enable rewards on your account.
  2. Watch an eligible Minecraft Dungeons II livestream with rewards enabled for about 3 minutes.
  3. Collect the cape code from TikTok Rewards when the quest completes.

How to redeem the code

  1. Open the official Minecraft Redeem page.
  2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used for your Java / Bedrock profile.
  3. Enter the code exactly (including hyphens if shown) and confirm Redeem.
  4. Launch Minecraft, open cape / Character Creator options, and select Aurora.

If the cape does not appear, wait a few minutes, restart the client, and confirm you redeemed on the correct Microsoft account. Cross-progression quirks between Java and Bedrock still depend on that shared Microsoft login.

What the cape looks like

Aurora uses a blue–orange–yellow gradient inspired by the Sift sky from Minecraft Dungeons II, with light accents on the back. An elytra form exists for flight cosmetics. This site does not host Mojang cape textures; equip the official item in-game after a successful redeem.
